The accession consists of slides and other papers of Ralph A. Lewin dated 1975-2001. The accession consists of several thousand 35mm color slides of plants and animal life, including slides of marine plants, cetaceans, pinnipeds, birds, fishes, reptiles and other marine life. Some of these slides are stamped with the names of Scripps vessels and may have been taken on Scripps expeditions. The accession also includes manuscripts and correspondence on publications and books by Ralph A. Lewin and his wife Lanna Cheng. The accession includes Ralph A. Lewin's desk calendars for the years 1990-2001.
